Dr. NAKE M. KAMRANY is Professor/Senior Lecturer, (Tenured Position), Department of Economics, University of Southern California, have also served as Director, Program in Law and Economics and Faculty Advisor for Economic Honors Program (Omicron, Delta, Epsilon).
His previous appointments include positions on the faculty and research at MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the World Bank, UCLA, Stanford Research Institute, & USC.
Dr. NAKE M. KAMRANY has been retained by private attorneys and law firms as expert witness in over 200 law cases including responding to depositions and court appearances and interrogatories for estimating measure of damages in medical malpractice, personal injury and death cases. Have appeared as expert witness in immigration courts and related fields. Have developed a new computerized mathematical model for conveniently incorporating a variety of economic input data including such variables as discount (interest) rate, consumer price index, annual increase in medical cost index, annual increase in earnings, cost of medicine, and supplies. Alternative calculations of the present value, the total value (future value), the initial cost, and the incorporation of different risk factors.
He has published eight books & over 100 scientific-economic research papers and have received the highest award “The Associate Award” at USC which is granted only to eminent scholars and teachers.
Dr. NAKE M. KAMRANY has pioneered the application of computerized programmable automation in discrete manufacturing industries for ARPA - Advanced Research Project Agency and the National Science Foundation.
AT MIT, he was directed multimillion dollar multidisciplinary economic analysis for the development of the Sahel-Sudan region of Africa under the aegis of the Agency for International Development.
Dr. NAKE M. KAMRANY has developed the pioneering application of computerized system dynamic methodology for regional analysis in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and Michigan.
He has served as chief economist, senior economist and country economic advisor to Lebanon, the Philippines, Ghana and Jamaica under the aegis of the World Bank and UNDP.
Also, Dr. NAKE M. KAMRANY has been the recipient of multi-million dollars of research grants from the National Science foundation, the Agency for International Development, the World Bank and others that maintain the highest standard of excellence.

STATEMENT BY Dr. KAMRANY:

I have been in teaching and research most of my career life. Currently I am employed at the University of Southern California (part time) and I wish to continue my writing and teaching. It follows that I am seeking an environment that is conducive to my professional interest.
I have spent many years living in the Pacific Palisades area and wish to continue living in the area which I believe that I could do if I moved to a place that would avails me with such an opportunity within my current and prospective financial means.
Moreover, my daughter and grand daughter will be attending Pacific Palisades High and I wish to live close by and maintain my contacts including helping with their home work and providing family support and interaction.
