| Project Intent Brian DiMaggio By maintianing a strong urban edge along Vermont Avenue, the faced paced street is controlled and the school is protected along that edge; main school entrances are located along the side streets. By creating a higher density school within the site, more green open space is left over for neighborhood uses. Recreation facilities and a co-use/public libary on the corner of the site maximize connections to the urban street.
Co-Use Program
A linear development of forms strengthens the organization of the site along the Vermont 'spine' and packs in multiple uses while giving over extra green space back to the dense community and providing continuous green surfaces for flexible uses.
