I am a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering , at the University of Southern California. I work as a graduate research assistant with Dr.Ahmed Helmy and Dr. Sandeep Gupta , for the Dependable Protocols Project . I also work as a graduate research assistant with Terry Benzel on the SecureCore project.

I completed my masters (with thesis) from EE-Systems, USC. During my masters program, I worked as a graduate research assistant with Dr.Ahmed Helmy , for the STRESS project. For my masters thesis, I worked on the  Design and Performance Analysis of Multicast based Micro Mobility protocol under the guidance of Prof Ahmed Helmy . My work involved improving the design of the initially proposed Multicast based Mobility protocol M&M , by modeling the protocol using STRESS semantics. I also compared its performance with the other micro-mobility protocols using ns-2 .

Before joining this group, I briefly worked with Dr.Daniel Lee on Wavelength Rerouting algorithms for WDM optical networks.

I completed my bachelors in Electronics and Communication from Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering , Bangalore (ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು), India. On completion, I worked at the Dept of Electrical Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science , Bangalore, India under Prof A Selvarajan , for less than a year before migrating to the US to pursue MS.

When I am not studying or dodging bullets ( I work in LA ;-) ) or stuck in traffic or drooling over "L" glass , I do take time out to shoot ...... snaps i.e., I must admit I am a shutter bug.

My locality of reference ;-)
