Christopher Jones joined the Marshall School in 2002 after three years at the University of Rochester's Simon School of Business.  Prior that, he obtained his PhD at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where his advisor was Robert Stambaugh.  Dr. Jones graduated from Pomona College and also spent two years as a research assistant at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

Dr. Jones' research and teaching interests are in the area of financial econometrics, empirical asset pricing, derivatives and fixed income, and Bayesian analysis.  He teaches Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management to MBAs and advises the Marshall Student Investment Fund.

Some recent research examines the factors underlying stock and bond market volatility and their impact on derivatives prices.  Current projects focus on affine term structure models and option pricing.
