Tony Kim achieved second place in the William van Alen Fellowship, "Companion to the Chrysler Building" competition. This 23rd Annual International Student Design Competition was sponsored by the National Institute for Architectural Education (NIAE).

Tony Kim's skyscraper light fixture was chosen to represent USC at the 1994 Pasadena/Foothill Biennial Design Awards Program.

Sky Kogachi and Hoa Trinh were co-winners of the "Jungfernstieg International Design Competition" for a redesign of a section of Hamburg, Germany.

Paul Geldbach took first place in the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) "Enviornment 3" national competition for the design of a research station in Antarctica.

Alfredo Andia won an honorable mention for his computer modeling and rederings, Dolphin 1 and Dolphin 3, in the Alias Design Power Competition.
