Brief Biography:
1908: Born in Yokohama.
1931: Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
1956: Awarded the Japan Art Institute Prize.
1960: Completed murals in the grand hall of the Crown Price's Palace.
1965: Became a member of Japan Art Institute.
1968: Completed huge murals in the new Imperial Palace.
1969: Decorated with an Order of Cultural Merits and designated as a person of cultural merits.
1975: Completed murals in Toshodaiji Temple.
1980: Completed murals in Toshodaiji Temple.
1999: Died.
