James
McCall Smith received his Ph.D. in
Political Science from Stanford University
in 1998. His research and teaching
interests include international political economy,
international law, and international organizations.
His dissertation, Policing
International Trade, focused on the design of dispute settlement
procedures in regionall and multilateral trade
accords. With support from the Smith Richardson
Foundation, he is currently engaged in a study
of the early
years of the dispute
settlement system of the World Trade Organization.
