Biographical information for Dr. Charles Crook

Charles Crook received a PhD in experimental psychology from Cambridge University. He subsequently developed a research and teaching career in developmental psychology - with special interest in educational practice and socio-cultural theories of cognitive development. He has associations with Brown University and UCSD in the US and has taught at Strathclyde and Durham Universities in Britain. Currently he is Reader in Psychology at Loughborough University. His recent publications have concerned computers as a context for collaboration in primary schools. He currently holds an ESRC grant to study the culture of undergraduate learning as it is effected by new technology. The present paper arises from field work on this project.
