Theresa cut down some banana leaves and then just kept slitting strips with her fingernail right down to the stem in the middle When she finished slitting them on both sides, the stem was like a belt and she wrapped it around me and then made a skirt for Christine and herself. We looked like hula dancers, but it was for fishing. We had little dip nets and waded out into the river about hip deep. Small fish think they are safe coming to hide in the grassy skirts, and we just dipped them up. More pictures:
