- Course Outline: This is an introductory course to modern
cryptography and cryptanalysis, with emphasis on public key cryptography. The
topics to be covered include: cryptographic hash functions, the RSA
cryptosystems and factoring integers, Discrete-logarithm based cryptosystems,
and Digital signature. If time permits, we will give a brief introduction to
elliptic curve cryptography.
