[1] Ground-Motion Prediction for Southern California. In this project, we are validating our 3D seismic velocity structure models (CVM3.0 and CVM4.0) and our wave propagation simulation codes by comparing the ground-motion observations from recent medium-sized earthquakes with the ground-motions predicted by our simulations.

[2] Full-3D Tomography for Southern California. In this project, the misfit between observed waveforms and the model predicted waveforms are used to invert for a improved 3D seismic structure model for Southern California. The waveform misfit between observation and predictions are parameterized using time-frequency analysis. Details about our full-3D technique can be downloaded here and here.

[3] EarthScope project for mapping 3D anisotropy of western US using USArray.

[4] CANOE for lithosphere structure of western Canada.
