Wang
Shuo in Pusan, Korea
The Pusan International
Film Festival News for October 12 featured a short interview
with Chinese writer and (now) director Wang Shuo, who was unfortunately
not accompanied by his film Baba (first-prize winner at
the 2000 Locarno Film Festival). Baba was scheduled, but
its screening was prevented by mainland Chinese officialdom.
There were even reports that the prints were taken or sent back
to China and destroyed.
