Question:
Why does the text interject its own ideas into the catechism? Post
your response on Blackboard
Repetition
is a major formal element of Dictee. Many ideas, words, images are repeated.
God
is supposed to all-pervasive in His ability to see our thoughts and deeds. What
impact does this then have on devout Catholics?
Question:
Why is there a stress on the idea of "me" being cast in God's likeness,
as a copy? Who is the "me" being referred to? Post
your response on Blackboard
The
Q&A structure is a catechism, a Catholic ritual whereby certain questions
demand certain answers. Catechisms are memorized by Catholics in order to remember
basic Catholic principles. "To conspire in God's Tongue," however,
is not a part of the catechism.
Note
the emphasis on copying or variations of the idea of copying.
